Guinness Storehouse

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

We are in the middle of a fitout project on the 4th floor of the Guinness Storehouse in conjunction with Townlink Construction Limited.
The project involves structural steel support steel to make more floor space, some changes to feature tanks and some display walls.

Structural Beams are currently being fabricated and installation will begin immediately.

Our architectural metalwork package is pretty fast track as the finish date is fixed.

CDS at Dublin Airport

Friday, July 15th, 2011

We have just completed architectural metalwork so as glass partitions, forster doors, bumprails and feature glass work at T1 Departures in Dublin Airport.
This was a difficult project in terms of programme and design. We used mildsteel and powder coated support legs, 18 tonne of toughened and laminated glass, 4 pairs of Forster doors complete with mag locks, stainelss steel foot and bumprails and a feature entrance portal.

Forster metal doors complete with toughened and laminated satin glass and feature stainless steel pull handles.

Large powder coated support posts with machined stainless steel glass fittings.

All our site crews give 100% when it comes to getting the job done. Attention to detail is a must at CDS Architectural Metalwork. Well done lads, great job.

Mizen Head Bridge

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

We are currently manufactureing 316 grade satin polished stainless steel balustrade panels to be installed on the Mizen Head Pedestrian Bridge. Brilliant location.

The architectural metalwork element we are doing consists of stainless steel frames with stainless steel mesh infill panels fixed to the concrete railing using Lazer cut brackets and hidden fixed bolts.

Our metal fabricators are fully welding all the joints and then polishing them to prefection. The mesh will then be folded and welded into position in our workshop in Ballyfoyle.

There are approximately 260 stainless steel fixing brackets being fabricated and polished also.

It’s a long walk from the loading bay to the actual bridge.

Welds are polished to 240 grit satin finish as is all the frame.

The completed bridge looks fantastic and is well worth a visit.
Well done Lads.

Regards,
Martin.

Furniture & lighting

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

Designing and manufacturing bespoke furniture and lighting is a particular challenge for CDS Architectural Metalwork, and it’s a challenge which we relish. When we get a design brief we set our design team to work and with the input from all the trades we can come up with very rewarding results.

Stainless steel table top lighting.

Table frames were manufactured from 304 grade satin polished stainless steel. these items were Lazer cut, polished, fabricated and then polished again.
